In the 7th grade, I had my teacher clean my locker for me. She charged me $1.00 for the service, with 10% interest compounded daily. I forgot to pay her back. It compounded higher and higher like a runaway chain reaction. By the end of the year, I calculated the shockingly massive amount of debt I had acquired and forgave the debt after I gave her a $20 gift card and taught the class a lesson about compound interest.
